Building on a Legacy of Sustainable Innovation

Continuing the conversation on sustainable building materials, we revisit a project that set the foundation for innovation decades ago. Remember the demonstration building shared a few weeks ago? (If you missed it, kindly find the story titled Honouring the Legacy of Local Innovation at TCC-CIMET).

That 37-year-old pilot project wasn’t just about bricks manufactured by TCC-CIMET the micro-concrete roof tiles were also produced right here at the Centre.

When the RENABUMA Project talks about driving sustainable building materials today, it’s not starting from scratch. Instead, it is reviving and advancing a long-standing tradition of innovation that has been part of TCC-CIMET’s work for generations combining local resources, practical expertise, and forward-thinking technology to shape resilient and sustainable housing solutions for Ghana.
